For the people who handle the paperwork
DocButterfly is a web app for everyday document jobs. It turns your data into finished PDFs, reads the details off the documents people send you, puts forms online, keeps records you can ask questions of, and runs the same steps by itself when a file arrives.
Free account with a monthly token allowance. Two-factor sign-in is on from the start. No credit card.
Works inside Power Automate and Logic Apps, and with Zapier, Make, n8n or your own code. How the connector works
Two products on your DocButterfly account
FlyaDoc is for the files people send you. DocWebForm is for the forms you need people to fill in.
Give out an address like yourname@flyadoc.com, the way you used to give out a fax number. Anyone can fly you a file from their browser, and your FlyaDoc box takes it even when you are away.
Every transfer can carry a signed receipt: who sent it, who received it, and whether the fingerprints both sides reported matched.
DocWebForm turns a form you already have into a web form that collects answers and sends them where you want. It is in preview while we finish it.
For developers and whoever runs the automations
Most of what the app does is also a call your own software can make: documents in, finished documents out, the details read off a document, a workflow published as a web address, and the connections those workflows use. 266 operations, one API key, and the same result whether a person clicks it in the app or a program asks for it.
One API key works the same from Zapier, Make, n8n or your own code. Power Automate and Logic Apps can import the custom connector instead and pick most of these operations off a list, rather than building each call by hand.
Every operation is a plain web call with your key in a header: post the file and the settings, then read the finished document out of the reply. There is nothing to install.
Work is metered in tokens, each call answers with what it used and what is left, and your usage page lists your calls from the last 30 days.

Letters, certificates, confirmations
Paste a sample of your data and press Generate. Drag each field to where it belongs on the page, or ask the built-in assistant to place them. Save it as a template, and your forms and workflows fill it in to produce a PDF.
See how templates workA stack of scanned forms
Upload one sample PDF or photo. The AI finds the fields on it, and every similar document after that is read the same way. The same tool can black out sensitive details and fill in forms.

Turn a template into a public web form. Each submission can be emailed to you with the filled-in PDF attached, saved to SharePoint, or used to start a workflow. Fill it in yourself to test it at no charge, then share its public link.
Good to know: if a submission can't reach where it is going, it waits in a list with the reason. Nothing is lost.
Forms start in the Template GeneratorThe same five steps, every time
Put document steps in order on a canvas, or tell the assistant what you want and it lays them out. Run it with your own files and see what a run is estimated to use. Publish it as a web address other systems can call, or export it for Power Automate.
How workflows workFiles dropped in a shared folder
Point DocButterfly at a SharePoint library or an SFTP folder. Every new or changed file runs your workflow with nobody pressing a button. Files already in the folder are not processed; only new or changed ones.
Good to know: SharePoint and SFTP today. Your SharePoint admin grants access to the site first.
What can start a workflow"Where is that document?"
Keep documents in your vault and ask in plain words, for example "When does the vehicle registration renew?" Every answer shows the document it came from, and the vault tells you when it doesn't know. On a phone, photograph a paper document or pick a file to add it, at no charge.
See which forms a vault can help fillHanding a file to the other side
Send a file straight from your browser to theirs. DocButterfly connects the two of you and never holds the file. Each side reports a fingerprint of what it handled. If either of you asks, a signed receipt records who sent it, who received it, its size, and whether the two fingerprints matched.
Good to know: the handover above needs both of you signed in and on the page at the same time. If the other person is not around, your FlyaDoc box takes the file while you are away: they drop it at your FlyaDoc address, which reads like an email address (yourname@flyadoc.com), it is locked before it leaves their browser, and opened on any browser you sign in on. DocButterfly holds a key to your box so that it can do that, which means DocButterfly can open your files. Every time it does is listed in your box.
About FlyaDocThe systems you already use
Save a sign-in once for SharePoint or OneDrive for Business, Dataverse, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Amazon S3, Azure Blob, SFTP or any web service. Your workflows, watchers and templates can then use it. Passwords and keys are encrypted and never shown again, and you can test each connection.

Upload a sample document. The AI finds the fields, and you can pull the details out, black out what is sensitive, or fill in a form.
Files up to 5 MB, five documents per session.
Open the playgroundBuild a multi-step document workflow on a canvas, or ask the assistant to build it, and run it live.
Open the playgroundEvery DocButterfly account goes through the same three stages.
Bring your documents in. Upload them, photograph them on your phone, or collect them with a web form. They stay safe, searchable and yours.
Where your documents liveSend them on. A document goes where it needs to go, by itself or by hand.
How FlyaDoc worksDocButterfly can be the step in the middle of something you already run. Hand this part to whoever looks after your systems.
Your Power Automate or Logic Apps flow calls it, someone submits one of your web forms, or a file lands in a SharePoint library or SFTP folder you are watching.
Fill a template to make a PDF, read the fields off a document, merge, split, watermark or black out parts of a PDF, or run a whole saved workflow as one step.
Save it to SharePoint or OneDrive, write it to Dataverse or a SQL database, drop it on SFTP, Azure Blob or Amazon S3, or email it.
Whoever looks after your systems imports the custom connector once, and DocButterfly's document actions show up in the Power Automate and Logic Apps designers next to everything else they already use. A workflow you publish gets its own web address, so anything that can call a web address can start it.
Your usage page lists every action you ran and how many tokens it used. No surprises.
How usage is countedPersonal, developer and business workspaces each keep their own vault, forms and keys, and nothing is shared between them. Two-factor sign-in is on by default for every account.
About workspaces Two-factorAsking your vault a question and adding a document from your phone cost nothing.
Your data is stored in Microsoft Azure, in the Central US region, and encrypted at rest and in transit.
